Abstract
Employee engagement is a critical factor influencing the performance, productivity, and overall success of organizations, and it has garnered significant attention across various industries. This research paper presents a comprehensive research design for a survey-based study aimed at measuring employee engagement within the context of the manufacturing industry. The study adopts a descriptive research approach and utilizes a questionnaire-based methodology to gather data from employees working with various manufacturing companies in Madhya Pradesh, India. The primary research objectives include determining the level of employee engagement, analysing the factors influencing engagement, and investigating the impact of demographic variables. The null hypothesis postulates the absence of employee engagement among manufacturing industry personnel, while the alternative hypothesis posits the presence of such engagement. Since the factors influencing employee engagement was not pertinent an exploratory factor analysis was conducted to identify the major factors influencing the employee engagement of employees who are working with the various manufacturing unit as the work environment of these places are a bit different from various other sectors.
