Abstract
Purpose: The main objective of this study is to find the relative importance of the various criteria that home buyers consider
while evaluating the available alternatives. This study also attempts to categorize these variables into factors.
Methodology: This is a descriptive research in which non-disguised and structured questionnaire having closed-ended questions. It was
administered to collect data from the respondents.
Findings: It was found in the study that financial factors are given the highest consideration while evaluating the alternatives by the residential
property buyers. The variables could be grouped into six factors.
