Abstract
This Doctoral study examines the HRM differences
of public sector units /Govt depts., as compared with
private sector in A.P. Four major aspects of HR have
been considered in the empirical evaluation viz,
Manpower procurement, Development, Motivation
and Maintenance of human resources.
A Stratified convenient sample of 1000 employees
was selected - 500 from government & 500 from
private sector- wherein 40% were women. Sampling
was done from lower, middle and top levels of the
organizations/department to interview with a
structured questionnaire at Hyderabad, Vijayawada,
Vishakhapatnam, Vijayangaram and Kurnool, in
Andhra Pradesh
