Abstract
This paper examines the relationship
between shared identity (affective,
cognitive, perceived similarity, behavior
and inclusion) and work-life
role (occupational, marital, homecare
and parental) in the Indian context.
380 dual career couples (DCC) working
in different professions was contacted
to fill self-administered questionnaires.
To analyze the data multiple
regression analysis was used.
The results revealed an influence of
various factors of shared identity on
the occupational, marital, homecare
and parental role commitment and
value. The study serves as a guide to
the development of high role commitment
and reward for dual career
couples. The study enriches the organizational
behavior literature. This
study identifies and validated the relationship
between shared identity
and work-life roles in the Indian context.
