Abstract
Medical tourism has emerged as a significant global industry, driven by factors such as the rising cost of healthcare in developed countries, the increasing accessibility of advanced medical services in developing nations, and the appeal of combining healthcare with travel. This paper explores the key drivers, challenges, and ethical considerations surrounding medical tourism.
Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, the study examines the motivations behind medical tourism, including cost-saving, healthcare quality, and the integration of tourism with medical treatment. It also highlights the ethical dilemmas posed by the commercialization of healthcare services and the potential inequalities faced by local populations in medical tourism destinations.
