Abstract
Drawing on the social exchange and equity theories, the present study investigated distributive and procedural justice as antecedents of organizational citizenship behavior and intention to quit, with affective commitment as a potential mediator. A conceptual path model was developed and tested using structural equation modeling and hierarchical linear regression on a sample of 295 practicing managers in India. The results demonstrated that both distributive and procedural justice had significant association with the outcomes and that affective commitment
did indeed mediate the relationship between the antecedent and the consequent variables.
