Abstract
This study reveals that most of the
insurance companies are very new
and the HR departments are juvenile
with recently established HR
departments under improvement.
Activities like recruitment, training
& development, compensation, incentives,
rewards & recognition
have been undertaken more or less
in the same manner with slight differences.
The process of performance
management has been found
to be varying in terms of the procedures,
the parameters being the
same. The recommendations involve
initiatives to improve consultant
performance and recruitment
quality by improving the testing
methods, online training and
material implementation, etc.
