Abstract
In Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, physicist Max Tegmark explores how the rise of artificial general intelligence (AGI) may redefine life, consciousness, and civilization. The author presents AI not just as a technological tool, but as a new phase in life’s evolution. It merges science, ethics, speculative foresight and terms it “Life 3.0”. It demands responsible development and global cooperation. The book navigates challenges and opportunities across employment, warfare, ethics, and cosmic destiny. The book review critically evaluates its structure, arguments, and relevance as a foundational text in the discourse on superintelligence.
